A New Kind of Music Festival
Callaway Gardens’ Harvest Moon Festival has been postponed until 2013 a food and music extravaganza unlike any other.
For centuries, harvest celebrations have been held around the full moon that occurs closest to the first day of Autumn, or the height of the harvest season. Callaway Gardens will add its unique twist on the ancient tradition with world-class contemporary music, locally sourced foods, cooking and gardening demonstrations, eco-centric vendors, fun and educational activities for children and, of course, the wonder and beauty of the Gardens itself.
The festival grounds around the beach will include a children’s zone, a 10,000-square-foot festival tent with televised college football games, a second stage and a super-sized version of Callaway Gardens’ weekly Farmers Market featuring additional vendors with environmentally conscious products and services. The Harvest Moon Festival will set a new standard for eco-friendly music festivals, with unprecedented composting, recycling, and waste-reduction efforts.
The musical lineup for the Harvest Moon Festival will be announced later this Summer, and Early Bird tickets will go on sale soon.
